Aircraft Twirls Uncontrollably into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline

A chopper flying over a popular southern California coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm groves as spectators observed.

Recordings posted on social media capture the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then falling towards the perimeter of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a set of stairs adjacent to the coastal road.

Emergency responders reported five persons were taken to hospital including two who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” following the incident on the weekend.

Three individuals on the street were harmed. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
