Real Madrid's winger Offers Sincere Sorry to The Madrid Club Supporters

Los Merengues attacker Vinicius Jr has expressed regret to the fanbase for his reaction when substituted in the recent heated match against Barcelona victory.

Vinicius was substituted in the second half and expressed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.

The Brazilian later returned to the bench and, after his club's 2-1 win, attempted to approach the opposition's opposing player during contentious post-match incidents.

"This day I want to say sorry to all the Madridistas for my response when I was taken off in the Clasico," Vinicius posted on X.

"Similarly to I have previously expressed during this morning's practice, I also want to express regret anew to my teammates, the club, and the president.

"Sometimes passion gets the better of me because I always want to succeed and assist my side. My determined nature stems from the passion I feel for this club and all it represents."

He joined Real from Flamengo in 2018 for £38.7m and has scored over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is uncertain with reports in recent months suggesting that the club would think about letting the 25-year-old depart if they got a suitable offer.

When the winger was replaced on that day, broadcast footage from broadcaster the service picked him up remarking: "Again me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I go, I'm moving on."

In his new post on social media, Vinicius commented: "I commit to keep striving at all times for the benefit of Los Blancos, as I have acted since the very beginning."
